Call Me Call Me Any Anytime

My . . . Coke.

You might have noticed a few changes in the sidebars here.

To your right, you'll see two new widgets from AdaptiveBlue.

While I think Frazy is a good website, the scripts I had to use were too much. I wanted something that would show what movies and books I'm reading without having to do a lot of work. Now, instead of having to go in and write a review for each movie I've seen and then tweaking the scripting to show that new post, AdaptiveBlue does everything for me!

They also have a product that works with Firefox called BlueOrganizer. That's what I'm using to update my book list. I think there's a lot of potential for me to use it other ways, I just haven't had the chance to really play with it.

I was also impressed by the fact that the company apparently actually pays attention to what their users are doing. I received an email that basically said "Hey I saw what you did. It looks cool. How are you finding the experience? Do you need help? Send me an email if you need anything."

Much cooler than your normal nameless, faceless, "Do Not Reply to This Message" email.

To your left, you'll see a new "Call Me" button.

It actually works! You can seriously call me with that button!

Google is starting a new service, GrandCentral. They give you a phone number and people can call it through your blog. You can set it up to ring right through to all your phones. If you're not available, the call will go through to an online voicemail box. You can listen to the voicemail from your phone or right online. You can even post the voicemails for others to listen.

For some reason, there were no Wichita phone numbers available, so I chose one from my hometown. So now I guess Mamo and my parents can call me for free now.

When you click on the "Call Me" button, you enter your phone number. If you don't want me to see your number, just make sure the box beside "Private" is checked. GrandCentral will then call you so that you can be connected to my number. It sounds more complicated than it is.

So give it a try. Leave me a message. I promise I'll call you back.

You know . . . unless I'm asleep.
